When establishing the time frame of the meeting, try to establish a standard presentation format upon which everyone agrees. This will cut presentation time and aid meeting consolidation. 

After you have evaluated your minutes and the productivity of your meetings, re-evaluate them. Look for efficiency or a lack thereof in any place you can find. It is beneficial to the overall emotional satisfaction and productivity of individual employees to be asked to participate in performance evaluations of meetings or actions whether in anonymous surveys, individual sessions, or open group dialogue. This fosters a sense of contribution to the organization and meeting consolidation which then creates a greater desire to ensure the follow through and effectiveness of new plans.
